Hang Dynasty I is:

The ultimate powerhouse big band experience. A 5 piece rhythm section joined by a 5 piece horn section featuring the most sought after players in the business. When this monster in released on stage, hope that the venue has its roof screwed on tight! Real Hammond B3 organ accompanied by two guitars allows Hang Dynasty I to deliver the authentic sounds and arrangements of classic rock, electric blues and R&B selections. The horn section is the icing on the cake punching the energy up a notch or two and adding a classy touch to one of the most exciting shows you've ever witnessed.

Hang Dynasty I features:

Scotty Page (Tenor Sax and emcee)
Original founding member of Hang Dynasty. Scotty has toured with Pink Floyd, Supertramp, and Toto. Scotty's performance style is flamboyant and electrifying. He also is an excellent emcee and keeps the show flowing with
his humor and high energy. His unique hairstyle is his moniker and has been described as "the most outrageous 'mullet' in the business". Truly a rock star of the saxophone.

Kenny Lee Lewis (guitar, lead vocals, band leader)
Member of The Steve Miller Band for over 28 years, Kenny Lee is the musical director and arranger for Hang Dynasty. Not only is he an excellent lead guitarist he handles most of the lead vocals for the band as well. Kenny
drives the band onto a smooth stretch of highway when going from set to set with cool arrangements and fast paced tight set lists to keep the show popping. Handling authentic performances of the classic Steve Miller Band
hits, Kenny is like a one-man SMB tribute act built into the Hang Dynasty repertoire.

Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (guitar, BG vocals)
Former member of Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers, Jeff is an icon of the rock music business. Having played on literally dozens of top ten hits as well as hundreds of albums, "Skunk" is one of the most versatile musicians
of this century. His guitar solo on "Reelin' in the Years" is one of rock's most memorable moments. His trademark handlebar mustache and beret have been seen on dozens of documentaries about the history of classic rock as well as performances on Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's Rock television show in
the 1970's. Performing from a stool in the style of Andres Segovia, Jeff ignites the stage with styles ranging from classic surf, modern jazz to Jimi Hendrix.

Lee Sklar (bass)
Another rock icon, Lee Sklar has played on hundreds of albums starting with James Taylor in the 60's, Linda Ronstat in the 70's, Phil Collins in the 90's and is now currently a member of Toto. From 1972 to 1977 he was a
member of the studio session mafia simply known as "The Section" who played on just about every rock pop album of that era. His beard is his moniker and had it long before ZZ Top ever made it their calling card. Known by his peers as "Father Time" his deep pocket bass playing and his unique appearance makes Lee a pleasure to hear and observe on the Hang stage.

Mike Finnigan (B3 organ, lead vocals)
First appearing on the rock music lexicon on Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland album in 1970, Mike Finnigan is a one of a kind artist. Not only is he an in-demand organist for the likes of Crosby Stills and Nash, Michael
McDonald, Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal, Etta James, Dave Mason, and about 900 other artists, he is an amazing lead vocalist. His power and energy as a screaming blues and R&B singer have been heard on numerous television and radio commercials and is a driving force behind Hang Dynasty's exciting energy.

Ray Brinker (drums)
Ray has performed with Pat Benatar, David Lee Roth, Joe Cocker, Brian Setzer, Ray Charles, and is a founding member of the Tierney Sutton jazz band. An incredible hard hitting drummer, Ray can handle rock, R&B and a
mean Texas shuffle. He also is an amazing soloist as seen here on this site trading phrases with Edgar Winter on timbales.

Steven "Doc" Kupka (Baritone sax)
Founding member/writer/producer for Tower of Power since 1970, Doc is probably the most famous bari sax player in the R&B genre. Having done stints with Huey Lewis and the News and numerous other famous artists, the Tower of Power horn section has been used on hundreds of albums and movie soundtracks. Doc is amazing to witness in performance and adds the famous "honk" to all of Hang Dynasty's horn arrangements. Doc was co-composer on the hit single "What is Hip" which is arguably one of the funkiest pop R&B crossover tracks of all time.

Steve Madaio (trumpet)
After playing at Woodstock with The Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1969, Steve went on the perform with Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Madonna and Barbara Streisand, His articulate style and punctuation can be heard on songs like "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder. Steve has many solo CDs available and resides in Palm Springs where he headlines performances monthly.

Lee Thornburg (trumpet)
Starting out with Wayne Cochran and the C.C. Riders back in the 70's Lee went on to play with Supertramp, Tower of Power, Tom Petty, Ray Charles, and is a founding member of the locally Los Angeles famous Jack Mack and the Heart Attack. He also performed in the house band on Late night with Jay Leno for over three years.

David Woodford (Tenor sax)
David has performed with Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Etta James. While Scotty Page is running around the stage blowing his solos, David holds the horn section down with his solid playing on tenor.
